| The 2005 Buffalo road trip took place on the weekend of
December 9-13 and brought a severe snowstorm both on our ride out to Buffalo and while we
were there. It was an interesting trip, to say the least. Lots of photos from
our adventures here. This first one is the whole group at Hooters in Amherst, New
York, next door to our motel. |
| The Patriots won the game, 35-7. We hope you enjoy
our 2005 Buffalo road trip photos. |

There were supposed to be 8 of us but Tom M.
couldn't make it at the last minute. Added this year were Brett R. (black shirt),
Dan P. (far right) and Jason C. (third from right) who came along with Pats Road Trip
veterans, Steve B. (far left), Bruce M. (blue Pats Jersey), Bill M. (second from right),
and Chris V. (third from left).

Dan and Steve caught doing something in the
motel room.

We like to pose with Vince (v3.0). Dan
throws some kind of pagan gang sign. (PatsRoadTrip.com does not condone or endorse
gang activity of any kind. That is unless it's a gang of Patriots fans following
their favorite team on the road.)

And yet again.

Jason C. suddenly started to belt out show
tunes.

Do not adjust your computer. The picture
is foggy because that's
how we feel until we get our coffee in the morning.

Bruce and Dan are dumbfounded that this hot
chick is talking to them. Oh, wait, she has to talk to them. Anyway, this is
Kahtu (pronouced KAH-too). She's kinda
got it goin' on, don't you think? I hope I spelled her name right.

Okay, so we lied and told the Hooters girls
that it was Brett's birthday. They put those
cones on his face to form a beak, they made him wear that coffee filter hat with balloons
floating off of it, and then they put two more balloons under his shirt. Then they
made him flap his arms like a bird with those menus in his hands.
It was one of the funniestfriggin' things I've ever seen.

SQUAWK! SQUAWK! SQUAWK!

Brett got a reward for being a good
sport. Kahtu felt him up. (Kids, if you
don't know what that means, go ask your mom.)

Hangin' at Hooters.

We visited our neighbor to the north.
This is the United States/Canada
border crossing. The border guard said, "Let me see your papers!"

Some trendy, local joint.

Taken from the car while kicking around in
Canada.

And again from the car.

That's not Toronto. We didn't go to
Toronto in 2005. I think that's a
knock-off of some famous tower like they do in Las Vegas.

A closer look reveals that it's a casino!

This is a Canadian ATM, eh? That's good
because we'll need cash when we stop at...

...the Beer Store!

Steve takes us to Niagara Falls. He
seems to be the only one that ever
knows where we're going when we're over the border.

Beautiful day at Niagara Falls. But at
least it's daytime.

Don't want to be caught here in a kayak.

Spectacular view.

Fuzzy spectacular view.

A nice shot of the Niagara river.

Shopping for tailgating supplies at the local
Wegman's. Did you know that you can't
buy steak tips in Buffalo? They look at you like you have three heads.
"Steak tips? What's that?" I'm not kidding.

Checking out.

Chris extolls the virtues of generic vs.
brand-name outside Wegman's.

Unloading the van at The Ralph. Jason's
warming up!

Getting set up in the parking lot on game day.
We're
not going to let a little snow bother us.

Nothing like a little sleet to wake you up in
the morning.
It's a great day for football!

Proudly hanging the colors in what will be our
home for the next four hours or so.

Stating the obvious during Buffalo Tailgate
2005!

This vandal hung a Buffalo Bills Two-Time AFL
Champions
flag off of our canopy while nobody was looking!

What the HELL is that? That silly Bills
fan hung it up backwards! We caught the vandal and hung him up by his shorts for a
little while to teach him a lesson.

Must have been a Bills fan taking this one.

Dan P., Kenny the Bills fan, Jason C., Bruce
M., and Bill M. enjoy the company of two young ladies from Oshawa, Ontario (That's in
Canada, eh?). They are Miss
Vanessa Murphy (left), a radio program director and D.J. for a
station in Oshawa and her friend Karen.

The Ralph stands cold and stark in the
background as the epic battle looms.
Here are Dan P., Bruce M., Jason C. and Bill M. chattin' up Karen.

Don't let that coffee cup fool you.
There's more than java in there.
Brett and Dan smile for the camera.

Some friendlies at the party next door.

Here's the whole gang again with Vince 3.0!

Another shot of the nearby friendlies.
There's safety in numbers.

Van and Karen ended up sitting with us for the
game.

Karen helps Dan stay warm during the game.

Brett, Bill and Karen strike a cold pose.

The post-game snowball fight was one for the
ages. The Pats fans held the high
ground against the onslaught of the angry and defeated Bills fans. It was
a good day for victory all the way around!

Another shot of the victorious Pats fans at
the top of the snowbank.

Bill and Bruce refuse to leave the hill they
fought so hard to protect.

Steve will see us safely back to the motel
after the game. Or will he...?

The cold crew on our way back to the
motel. Heading home tomorrow.
