| Here are a few really old photos of a
game back in the '80s. I believe these photos were taken on December 8, 1985.
I base this on several factors, not the least of which is the girl sitting on my lap in
this first tailgate photo. Her name is Shelly and I started dating her a year or so
after high school. |

|
My buddy Bruce K. joins
Shelly and I on the couch. I have him to thank for becoming the football fan I am
today. He took me to my first game when I was pretty young. The only other
people in the photo that I know are the three guys to the left standing up. From the
left they are Denny B., John S. and Chuck D. The rest of them? I have no idea
who they are. I think I still have one of those knit hats.

|
Denny B. must be taking
this one because that's Harry F. on the far left now.
|
|

|
Probably trying to get the
old Hibachi going in this one.

Here's a shot of the bowl in the
old Schaefer/Sullivan/Foxboro Stadium.
I'm not sure what name it had at this point.
|

|
Our seats were all the way up at
the back against that red wall. I'm not sure if any of
us are in this one. I miss those aluminum benches. Okay, not so much.
|

|
I found it interesting how
many people DIDN'T have Patriots jackets and hats and all that.

Another shot of the game
going on.

This is the photo with the
most compelling evidence as to which game it is. The scoreboard reveals a score of
20-6 with 9:41 left in the 4th quarter. From this I was able to figure out that
this was a game against the Detroit Lions on 12/8/1985. Damn! The Lions sucked back
then, too? The final score was 23-6.

Trying to get a shot of the
scoreboard. Not sure why.

The lights are on in the
old barn.

Patriots Hall of Famer

Craig James high-fives a

Not sure who the wounded guy
is. Anyone have any idea? |
