| The 2010 road trip was not a
Buffalo road trip. Due to the scheduling of the Patriots @ Buffalo game on December
26th, we weren't able to go to Orchard Park this year. Instead, we set our sights on
Cleveland, Ohio on the weekend of November 5-8 to see the Pats take on Eric "The
Rat" Mangini's Browns. I'm sad to say that the Patriots fell hard to the
Brownies, 34-14. |
| We were joined at our
Cleveland tailgate party by over 20 members of the Boston Ski and Sports Club (BSSC) as
well as some friends of Steve's including, but not limited to, the Imperial Wizard of
GEOINT himself, Dave McClure. We've got lots of photos from a few different sources
going on here. We hope you enjoy them. |
 Dawn begins
to light up the world in central Pennsylvania during our drive to Cleveland.
We've been on the road for roughly seven hours now.
|
 We're
having breakfast at Denny's. Jason is sneezing.
|
 Chris takes
over the driving after breakfast.
|
 John, Steve
and the back of Andy's head.
|
 Jason looks
like he's got a little Mohawk going on.
|
 Bruce
enjoy's a cigar on the ride.
|
 Our Patriots
bear sits on the Jets bear's head. There's never
a bad time to deface and humiliate a Jets bear.
|
 John, Steve
and Andy enjoy the ride as Jason snoozes in the background.
|
 Bruce is
chillin' and listening to his iPod.
|
 Now Jason
REALLY looks like he's sportin' a Mohawk.
|
 Andy looks to
be holding up well.
|
 Steve smiles
for the camera.
|
 Chris
continues his shift behind the wheel.
|
 Refueling
not very far from Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania. We're in the heart of Steeler
country right now. We didn't see any shadow-checking rodents, though.
|
 We saw a lot
of truck stops on the way.
|
 Andy
practices safe smoking habits by enjoying a cigarette
right next to the refueling Short Bus.
|
 Andy strikes
the first blow by absconding with this Pittsburgh
Steeler decoration from the truck stop.
|
 Whoa!
Bruce is looking tired. It's been a long night of traveling. Jason is driving
now.
|
 We've made it
to Ohio!
|
 This is a
"proof of trip" photo.
|
 Another,
just in case.
|
 A rest area
somewhere in Ohio.
|
 Getting
closer to Cleveland!

 A view from
the Short Bus of the Cleveland skyline.

 Another view
of Cleveland during the drive in.

 Here is

|
 On
Saturday we headed down to the Professional Football Hall of Fame
in Canton, Ohio. It was about an hour ride from our hotel.
|
 Our home
page cover photo shows the whole gang in
front of the Hall of Fame in Canton.
|
 I took this
one so my man, John Waltz (the Browns fan in the middle) could be in it.
|
 Here we have
Fawcett Stadium next to the Hall of Fame. This is where
the annual Hall of Fame pre-season game is played.
|
 The iconic Hall
of Fame sign.

 Inside the
Hall of Fame now.

 How do you
do a caption for a caption?

 In case
you live in cave, here's a more complete explanation.
|
 Here's the
inside of the display.
|
 There
was a replica of every championship ring in the HOF.
|
 An
exhibit on officiating.
|
 When we came
out of the Hall of Fame, there was a crowd
around the Short Bus checking her out.

|

|

|
 We ran out
of time and didn't get to go in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.
We figured we'd get a picture of the Short Bus in front of it, though.
|

|
 The Short
Bus is stopped for a photo op in front of Cleveland Browns Stadium.
|
 The
Short Bus is parked in front of our hotel as it is readied for battle.
|
 The
flags are flying in salute to the U.S.A!
|
 Here's
big old ship in port with the stadium in the background.
|
 This is the
view we had from our tailgate parking spot. Not bad.
|
 A
Cleveland Browns "Long Bus!"
|
 Tailgating
on the shores of Lake Erie. Literally.
|
 Fans mingle
at the beginning of what would become an epic tailgate party.
|
 The empties
piled up fast.
|
 Still
waiting on most of our tailgaters.
|
 A side view
of our Cleveland set-up.
|
 Bruce
enjoys the view.
|
 Just another
scenic photo.
|
 John's
hoping for Browns win. He'd get it.

 Our tailgate

 A view from
the rocks.
|
 These fans
invited us over for "upsidedown margaritas". Yum.
|
 Chris
begins would become a long line of funnelers (is that even a word?)
|
dDamien is
waiting for his turn.
|
 More eating
and drinking!
|
 At was
suprsingly easy to feed 35 people. |
 Here's a
group shot of the Boston Ski & Sports Club members who attened the game.
|
 I think
there was funnelling going on here.
|
 Dennis
enjoys an adult beverage the fast way.
|
 Dennis, I
forgot your friend's name! Is it Stan? Let me know so I can give him proper
credit for this funnel.
|
 More fans
enjoy the funnel.
|
 The funnel
awaits it's next victim.
|
 This
gentleman did 36 ounces at once.
|
 I only did
12 ounces at once.
|
 What was her
name again? Eager fans want to know!
|
 Andy takes a
turn.
|
 Some of
these Browns fans aren't half bad!
|
 Down the
hatch!
|
 ...and
another...
|
 ...and
another...
|
 ...and yet
another!
|
 On our way
in to the game.
|
 Now I know
what the term "a veiw to a kill" means.
|
 The sun
sets on over Lake Erie not very long after it set on the Patriots.
|
 Chris has a
sad face. I'm not sure why. Po' thing.
|
 Jason
listens to his iPod on the long ride home from Cleveland. Unless the NFL screws us
again with the scheduling we'll be headin' back to Buffalo in 2011. Hope to see you
there!
