@ Jets - Sep. '08

Home Up

On the weekend of September 13-14, 2008, Steve B. met up with a few of his friends and went to the Meadowlands in East Rutherford, New Jersey to see the Patriots play the Jets in an AFC East showdown on the road.  This was the first start of Matt Cassell's career after being called in to replace Tom Brady who suffered a season-ending knee injury just a few minutes into the season opener against the Chiefs (Chefs...great-googilly-moogilly!) at Gillette the week before.  Cassell led the Patriots to victory over the Chiefs and he did it again against the Jets by a final score of 19-10.

Be vewy, vewy quiet. I'm hunting Jets.

Steve chillin' in the hot sun of the Meadowlands.  I heard it smells bad there.

"I'm kinda somebody."

Jeff I. stands tall among the enemy.

The Meadowlands Four.

Charlie, Jeff, Steve and Bruce (different Bruce).

This place is a dump.

Awaiting kickoff.

Great Seats, though.

Let's get it on!

Steve shows his mettle in enemy territory.

Steve managed to infiltrate the enemy stronghold that is
Giants Stadium.   Actually, he just bought a ticket.

There are Jets fans EVERYWHERE!

Matt Cassell played a smart, mistake-free game.

Three levels?

Is that thing supposed to provide some kind of information?
Do you call that a scoreboard?

J-E-T-S SUCK SUCK SUCK!

This is supposed to be a shot of that fake Jets fan in the fireman's
hat that shows up every week just to get on T.V.

That's all Steve gave me from his adventures in New Jersey.
